Is Your NYC Building Polluting My Air?

New York City’s air quality fails federal health standards. Type your address to find out if your building is polluting the air with its dirty heating oil. Heating oil pollutes 50% more of our air than cars and trucks in the city. Only you can make a difference.
Burning dirty heating oil (#4 and #6 oil) emits high levels of
fine sooty particle pollution and nickel (a heavy metal),
which are both harmful to our health. #6 oil spews out 18
times more soot pollution than either #2 heating oil or natural
gas. New York City’s nickel levels are nine times higher than
those found in other U.S. cities.
